PRODUCTS
Our sand and gravels are available in a variety of size distributions that meet many application requirements. In order to effectively serve a wide spectrum of industries we closely monitor screen sizing for consistent particle size and distribution. Our whole grain sands have fewer impurities than many competitor products such as very low Fe2O3 (Iron Oxide).
Our markets include Filtration Media Sands for pool filters (both domestic and commercial), Filtration Media Gravels for water treatment plants and Drillers Media Gravel for bores and water testing services.
Our facilities enable us to cater for the individual needs of customers. We are able to supply and deliver all sands in bulk by tippers or pneumatic tanker loads, 1 tonne to 1.5 tonne bulk bags, 20kg bags and custom bag sizes.
Filtration Media Sands
Our Filtration Media Sands are mainly used for pool filters (both domestic and commercial).
The sub-angular grain shape of our filter media will provide solid holding capacity and a transport mechanism of any filter design.
The applications for use in the filtration market are numerous and we are able to produce to any specification required. All products are tested as produced and all shipments are guaranteed to meet your specifications. Adelaide Industrial Sands can also supply high silica filter gravel.
When specifying filter media size it is best to state the Effective Size and Uniformity Coefficient or the Nominal Size required. Only one system should be used.
Effective Size (ES) represents the sieve size opening that will allow 10%, by weight, of a representative sample for the filter material to pass.
Uniformity Coefficient (UC) represents the ratio of the sieve size opening from which 60% of the sand by weight will pass, divided by the sieve size opening from which 10% of the sand by weight will pass.

Filtration Media Gravel Packs
Filtsand Australia provides gravel pack sands suitable for all types of drilling and filtration.
Our Filtration Media Gravel are mainly used in water treatment plant projects.
The Filter Media Gravel Packs can be supplied and delivered in bulk by tippers or pneumatic tanker loads, 1 tonne to 1.5 tonne bulk bags, 20kg bags and custom bag sizes.
